As per your email request, unfortunately we cannot accommodate your request to hold a mass at Dunbrody  Abbey Sunday 14th July 2024 or going forward.

This is due to the clarification of the “Irish Church Act 1869 (https://www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/1869/act/42/enacted/en/html) and the Report of the Commissioners of Church Temporalities in Ireland for the Period 1869-1880, several Churches, Ecclesiastical Buildings and other Structures are preserved as National Monuments and are not to be used as Places of Public Worship.”

The OPW strives to support local communities in holding events at National Monuments, where possible, once they are agreeable to terms and conditions and in line with legislative provision.
